A seven year old boy's sponsored bike ride for Haiti raised over $160,000. Charlie Fulham from West London wanted to raise $500 for the Unicef UK by doing seven laps in his local park. His effort by doing this sparked a frenzy with the media and by the afternoon came around his JustGiving page topped $110,000 and an additional $26,000 added through the Gift Aid Scheme.
On this page he stated " I want to do a sponsored bike ride for Haiti because there was a big earthquake and loads of people have lost their lives, I want to make money to buy food, water and tents for everyone in Haiti". His mom Leonora told the Daily Mirror newspaper. " I'm extremely proud of Charlie".
Charlie had told the BBC " My legs are a bit sore after the ride, but it was really fun". People were leaving comments on his JustGiving page like " Great to see so much good coming from someone so young, well done Charlie you put alot of adults to shame".
